The rides offer breathtaking views of the Park. They are all usually booked well in advance so make sure to plan early. River rafting is another great adventure that is offered at the Grand Canyon. You can engage in motorized rafts, paddle rafts and dories to experience the Colorado River.
The Colorado River runs 277 miles through the park. Spectacular waterfalls dot the landscape, with some cascading hundreds of feet. Ribbon falls and Havasu falls are two of the most famous waterfalls in the area.
Another point of interest is the Grand Canyon Skywalk. Situated at the West Rim, the ‘glass bridge’ is around 4000 feet above the Colorado River and extends 70 feet past the edge.
Diversity in Flora & Fauna
Many are of the impression that the Canyon is made of desert-brown colors, but it is not so. The national park is home to over 650 different types of wildflowers. Summer and spring are the best seasons to see the floral fireworks. The Canyon is home to more than 70 species of mammals, 25 species of reptiles and 250 species of birds as well.

The Grand Canyon is open 365 days a year and makes for the perfect outdoor destination for everyone.
